Two Kobryn entrepreneurs allege being beaten by KGB officer
The Kobryn entrepreneurs Andrei Fedasiuk and Viachaslau Kuryshka applied to the Brest law enforcement officers for assistance.
They alleged having been beaten in different time an officer of Kobryn KGB.
The police advised the victims to apply to the regional KGB department, the advice the men followed.
The both men were beaten over in a forest tract. According to their words, besides the battery, the KGB officer seized from them documents for the cars and planted sacks with allegedly smuggled iron to the car of Viachaslau Kuryshka.
The young men were not involved in politics that is why they do not understand the reasons of the great attention to them from the side of the KGB officer. The human rights defendant Uladzimir Vyalichkin sees the reason in the decreased level of recruitment of staff to KGB.
‘They were knocked down and beaten over – these are the forms of action and influence of KGB officers. This happened earlier in the sphere of internal affairs. I consider an outrage that KGB officers use such methods’, - the human rights defendant said.
According to Vialichkin’s words, it is unknown how the administration of the Brest regional KGB will assess the actions of the Kobryn KGB officer.
