Ihar Chapiha placed to delinquents’ isolation center in Akrestsin Street

On 8 September the police searched the apartment of the activist of the Right Alliance Ihar Chapiha and seized his computer and other belongings. The activist was arrested and placed to the prison in Akrestsin Street.

The head of the Right Alliance, Yury Karetnikau, calls it politically motivated harassment. He denies any involvement of the organization and its members to organization of the arson of the delinquents’ isolation center and expresses a decisive protest against such actions of the authorities. Moreover, Yury Karetnikau, has been summoned to the tax inspection, which is also connected to the increase of pressurization on the eve of the presidential campaign in which the organization intends to participate.

Bear in mind that Ihar Chapiha had run for the Minsk City Council of Deputies at the recent local elections.
