Just World launches Just Elections campaign
The Belarusian Party of United Leftists ‘Just World’ has launched an election observation campaign ‘Just Elections’, the BelaPAN news agency reports, quoting the Party’s leader Siarhei Kaliakin.
Just World is not going to nominate its representative for the President. At the same time, the Party will not impede its members’ participation in the initiative groups of other opposition candidates.
‘We will do the utmost, together with other parties and NGOs, to involve active citizens in observation activities,’ says Mr. Kaliakin.
The first step of the ‘Just Elections’ campaign will be the Party’s appeal to the Central Electoral Commission with a demand to provide explanations on a number of legal acts. ‘The appeal will be aimed at actual participation of observers in the vote counting procedures,’ says Kaliakin.
