Liozna officials react to remarks of ‘Human Rights Defenders for Free Elections’

Information about the presidential election finally appeared at the website of the Liozna District Executive Committee, though it used to be the only website of a district executive committee on the Vitsebsk region that had no information about it.

The following day after the publication of Human Rights Defenders for Free Elections concerning this fact the Liozna DEC hastened to correct the situation. Now the website has a banner with a link to information about the election.

In particular, the site was updated with the ruling of the Chamber of Representatives about the appointment of the date of the election, and the ruling of the executive committee about determining the places where it was prohibited to hold electoral pickets, and the ruling about the establishment of the district election commission including the list of its members.

Thus, now the website of the Liozna DEC is among the leaders in presenting the electoral information, as some of other websites of the Vitsebsk region (such as the website of the Miory DEC) still have no lists of members of the election commissions, though they were established more than a week ago.
