Collector of signatures in support of Uladzimir Niakliayeu is not let in Salihorsk dormitories
On 5 October Andrei Tychyna came to the dormitory of the Salihorsk Pedagogical College to collect signatures for the potential presidential candidate Uladzimir Niakliayeu. However, the janitor refused to let him without permission of the college administration. On 7 October he addressed the Deputy Chairperson of the college on education (and also the college ideologist), L.Rumiantsava, but received a refusal with reference to prohibition to collect signatures in the dormitories of educational establishments.
Similar oral refusals were received on 6 and 7 October from the headmaster of Salihorsk Vocational Lyceum #72, Yu. Piskunou, and the Deputy Chairperson on ideological and educational work of the Salihorsk Mining and Chemical College, S. Vyliazhanina.
Using the assistance of the local human rights defenders, the member of the electoral team prepared written applications to the aforementioned educational establishments and complaints to the procuracy and the Salihorsk District Election Commission concerning the unlawful actions of the administration of the educational establishments.
