Electoral fuss in Orsha district continues
Human Rights Defenders for Free Elections have already written about the numerous abolitions and amendments of rulings of the Orsha officials that concern the electoral campaign. Such things still continue there.
In particular, the ruling about determining the boundaries of the precincts was amended three days after its adoption. The matter is that the settlement of Liasny had been included in the territory of Orsha by Presidential order #124 of 1 March 2010, but the officials forgot about it. According to the amendment, the settlement is included in election precinct #11. By the way, it is not the first case when the authorities forget about this settlement – the same happened during the local election in April 2010.
An unusual step was also made by the Bolbasava Village Council – the village authorities abolished their ruling On determining the places that were banned for picketing… This was evidently done on the order of higher authorities, because there haven’t been any electoral pickets in Bolbasava, which means the step is senseless.
