Mazyr: ruling about ‘cultural program’ for international observers disappeared
Documents
disappear from the website of the Mazyr District
Executive Committee after publications of Human
Rights Defenders for Free Elections.
In particular, the article titled Mazyr:
International observers will be provided with transport and cultural activities
(published on 31 October), concerns ruling #267-R of the district executive
committee of 31 October, On the
establishment of the district inter-agency working group to provide the stay of
foreign (international) observers in the Mazyr district. The document was
removed from the website after the publication. Those who click at the link http://www.mozyrisp.gov.by/rus/vibori_2010/267,
where it had been situated, see the inscription: ‘Sorry, the requested page was
not found on the server.’
Bear in mind that the ruling told how the local authorities
intended to treat foreign observers. A special ‘district interregional working
group’ was established for it. It included workers of the district executive
committee and other state institutions who were to take the necessary measures
for ‘creating the favorable conditions for activities of foreign
(international) observers’.
Some time ago Human Rights Defenders for
Free Elections published another article, concerning Ruling #268-R, On determining the duty officials who have
the powers to compose violation reports for violation of the electoral
legislation, after which this ruling was removed from the website as well.
