Barysau: 112 precinct election commissions formed for 12 minutes
The representative of
the Trade Union of Radio Electronic Industry Maryna Statkevich was admitted to
the sitting of the Barysau District Executive Committee that formed the
precinct election commissions (PECs) for the Barysau district. She was very
surprised with the fact that this sitting lasted only for 12 minutes.
According to the official information, 243 representatives were nominated to
the commissions by collection of signatures of electors in support of their
nomination, 484 were nominated by workers of institutions and enterprises, 468
– by NGOs and 35 – by political parties.
’In fact, there were no things to observe’, says Maryna Statkevich. ‘The
candidacies for the precinct commissions weren’t discussed or read. It remains
a secret whether any representatives of the opposition were included in the
commissions. It was announced that the compositions of the precinct commissions
will be published by the newspaper of the Barysau District Executive Committee Adzinstva within 7 days.’
Bear in mind that the newspaper publications don’t disclose the places of work
of members of the PECs and M.Statkevich didn’t
manage to obtain this information at the sitting on the formation of the PECs.
