Results of verification of signatures by Partyzanski District Election Commission of Minsk
The Partyzanski District
Election Commission held a sitting concerning the verification of the that had
been passed to it by the campaign teams of the potential candidates for
President of Belarus. The sitting was attended by observer Valiantsina
Sviatskaya.
The commission received 10,803 signatures in support of the candidacy of
Aliaksandr Lukashenka, 3,360 – for Andrei Sannikau, 2,714 – for Uladzimir
Niakliayeu, 1,832 – for Mikalai Statkevich, 1,684 – for Yaraslau Ramanchuk,
1,633 – for Dzmitry Us, 1,183 – for Vital Rymasheuski, 984 – for Ryhor
Kostuseu and 547 – for Aliaksei Mikhalevich. Some other pretenders for
presidency – Piatro Barysau, Siarhei Ivanou, Ivan Kulikou and Uladzimir
Pravalski – didn’t pass to the commission any signatures at all.
Having checked 1,382 out of 6,695 signatures in support of Viktar
Tsiareshchanka, the commission found invalid 361 of them (15.4%), which
resulted in the annulment of all signatures in his support received by the
commission. The DEC also verified 2,146 signatures in support of Aliaksandr
Lukashenka, 45 (2.1%) of which were found invalid.
The commission didn’t declare invalid any signatures in support of Andrei
Sannikau and Yaraslau Ramanchuk. The candidate of the Belarusian Popular Front
Ryhor Kostuseu, on the other hand, has the greatest number of invalid
signatures after Mr. Tsiareshchanka – 13%.
