10 out of 11 potential presidential candidates submitted to election commissions 100.000 valid signatures necessary for registration.

RFE/RL learned this from Mikhail Lazavik, the spokesman of the Central Election Commission (CEC). According to him, only the Vitsebsk entrepreneur Uladzimir Pravalski failed to perform the task (he didn’t gather even 1,000 valid signatures in his support).

Aliaksandr Lukashenka has the biggest amount of signatures, 1,110,291 while Ryhor Kastusiou has the smallest number of signatures, 101,001.

The aspirants should submit to the CEC an application candidate’s consent to run for the presidential post, income and property declarations and other documents by 13 November.

The procedure of registration of the candidates is scheduled for 18 November.
