They have been punished for the organization of an unauthorized meeting in October Square on November 24.
The
Central Election Commission warned presidential candidates Vital
Rymasheuski and Mikalai Statkevich on Tuesday. The warning was
pronounced in connection with the unauthorized meeting organized in
October Square on November 24, 2010.
Despite the intercession of
the candidates’ representatives who noted that there were no criminal or
administrative cases started against Rymasheuski or Statkevich
according to which they could be returned guilty of some violation of
the Belarusian legislation, the CEC unanimously agreed to pronounce a
warning to both politicians.
