Baranavichy: international observer stopped mysterious movements of ballot box
Electoral precinct No.28 is situated on the third store of the administrative building of the joint-stock company Truck Autopark No.4 in Hruntovaya Street, 47. However, after the end of the voting at 7 p.m. on 14 December, the ballot box for early voting was carried out of the electoral precinct and taken to Telman Street, 102 to be stored there.
The ballot box was transported by the Chairperson of
the precinct election commission Andrei Kapitsa, two members of the commission
and the duty policeman. The present observers weren’t invited to accompany them
in this interesting trip.
A Baranavichy observer Tatsiana Tsaruk informed observers of OSCE/ODIHR about
this fact. An observer of the mission paid a visit to the electoral precinct on
15 December, after which Andrei Kapitsa ‘voluntary’ left the ballot box at the
precinct.
Tatsiana Tsaruk also informs that according to calculations of the observers,
47 electors voted at precinct No. 28 on 14 December, whereas the commission’s
number is 62. The respective numbers for 15 December are 64 vs. 82 votes. An
observer Siarhei Housha filed an appeal with the procuracy, asking to hold a
check-up on these facts.
