On 3 January the people who had been sentenced to 15 days of arrest for participation in the mass action of protest on 19 December were released from the delinquents’ isolation center in Akrestsin Street.

According to the official list that was composed by the prison administration, only 28 persons were to have been released. However, in fact there were as many as 45. 16 people were released from jail in the afternoon and the rest were taken away in a police car and two busses in the evening. As a result, their relatives and friends didn’t manage to meet with them and had to look for them in the city.

103 people were released from the Zhodzina jail. However, friends and relatives didn’t manage to meet all of them as well. The prison administration organized the transportation of prisoners to Minsk. However, only one of the two busses with prisoners stopped near the Uskhod tube station (where relatives and volunteers were waiting), whereas the other one moved further.
