Aleh Aheyeu, the defense lawyer of Aliaksei
Mikhalevich, has learnt that his client was transferred from the KGB jail to
the pretrial detention facility of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in
Valadarski Street, Minsk.
As Mr. Aheyeu told the BelaPAN news agency, he had had a short talk with
Mr. Mikhalevich on 6 January. The lawyer plans to meet with his client on
Monday, 10 January, to discuss the tactics of defense and the possible legal
proceedings.
Bear in mind that Mr. Mikhalevich and four more presidential candidates, are
charged with organizing and participating in mass riot (Article 293 of the
Criminal Code).
