Representatives of the Borisvoskiye novosti independent weekly keep appealing the search at the newspaper’s office carried out by Barysau police on 10 January.
In their repeated appeals, the journalists argue that the search, together with the seizure of all the office equipment, were illegal.
The official replies received by the editorial office claimed the actions by the police during the search were lawful. The latest answer issued by Minsk Partryzanski Court dismissed the claim, referring to a number of procedural provisions of both criminal and civil legislation.
The weekly’s representatives, in turn, say they are going to appeal the negative decision at Minsk City Court and the General Prosecutor’s Office of Belarus, simultaneously.
