Ambulance called for Uladzimir Niakliayeu
The first
interrogation of Uladzimir Niakliayeu for the time of his stay under home
arrest was to have taken place today.
During the two previous times when Niakliayeu was taken for interrogation, KGB
guards left his apartment. However, this time they didn’t go away.
‘We were indignant at it,’ said Uladzimir’s wife, Volha Niakliayeva. ‘I planned
several meetings for today and now have to correct my plans, because I am
totally against leaving external publics at the apartment. I proposed them to
keep their duty at the entrance of the apartment – at the staircase for the
time of our absence. However, I didn’t receive an answer to my proposal. Then
Uladzimir Prakopavich refused to go for the interrogation. Of course, he got
nervous and his blood pressure went up. That’s why we had to call an ambulance.’
As is well known, two KGB officers keep 24-hour duty in Niakliayeu’s apartment.
All in all, there are 6 of them, they work in three shifts, staying in a
separate room in the small apartment of the Niakliayeus.
