The first court sitting on the criminal case against
Mikita Likhavid (one of the accused of participation in the 19 December “mass
riot”, Article 293, part 2 of the Criminal Code) will take place at 10 a.m. on 22 March.
The case will be considered by Natallia Pykina, Judge of the Partyzanski
District Court of Minsk.

Likhavid was detained in Nezalezhnasts
Square on 19 December 2010 and sentenced to 15-day
arrest term. However, on 23 January the verdict was abolished. Mikita was
declared an accused in the criminal case on “mass riot” and transferred from
the Zhodzina prison to the pre-trial prison in Valadarski Street in Minsk.
