On 24 March, Ales Asiptsou, reporter of the BelaPAN major news agency, was sentenced to three days of administrative arrest for “disorderly conduct”. The verdict pronounced by Mahiliou court says the journalist was urinating not far from his house.
However, local human rights defender Barys Bukhel says the reporter was arrested preventively ahead of the Freedom Day.
