Aliaksandr Zhukau, activist of the United Civic Party of Belarus, has been reportedly detained and taken to Minsk office of Organized Crime Department, Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty reports.
“An unknown person, who refused to give his name, wanted to question me. I refused to do so and now I am waiting for an investigator. I am not accused. According to a policeman, I am here as a witness. I suppose I will be interrogated concerning the 19 December events”, said Aliaksandr Zhukau in a telephone conversation with Radio Liberty.
The UCP activist was among the detainees on 25 March. He also took part in the 19 December 2010 post-election protest.
