Kirausk: democratic activist fired after 2010 election stays redundant
Aliaksandr Baran, an activist of the electoral team of
the presidential candidate Uladzimir Niakliayeu and the civil campaign Speak
Truth has been fired from the house economy because of his activism. He
hasn't been able to get another job for three months already, despite all his
attempts.
Moreover, he is a disabled person, and received about 65$ worth monthly pension
for it. However, on 28 March he was deprived of the 3rd degree
disability (which he had received after an apoplexy), after which he was deprived of the pension. Mr.
Baran gathered the necessary documents and passed them to the Mahiliou Region
Medical Commission to appeal the deprivation of the 3rd degree
disability. At the same time, he continues to be an active participant of Speak
Truth!, spreading informational materials about political prisoners and
democratic editions in Kirausk.
