On 16 April, Aliaksandr Starykevich, editor-in-chief of the Salidarnasts Internet newspaper, was interrogated by the prosecuting authorities as a witness in the Minsk metro explosion case on 11 April. Mr. Starykevich says the interrogation “was no surprise” to him. “I suppose it may be linked to Lukashenka’s recent demand to “question everyone in the framework of the case”.
The journalist was earlier officially warned by the General Prosecutor’s Office for “disseminating ungrounded information on the tragic events in Minsk metro”.
