Incident at the trial of Vital Rymasheuski
The trial of the co-Chair of the organizing committee
of the Belarusian Christian Democracy Vital Rymasheuski at the Frunzenski was
marked with a rather unpleasant incident. Police major Maksim Hryshchanka clang
to Tatsiana Seviarynets, the mother of another political prisoner, Pavel
Seviarynets, and tried to tear down a white-red-white ribbon from her neck.
Tatsiana responded by grabbing him by the tie and told him to take it off as
well then. As a result, the woman was pushed out of the court hall and “asked”
to take off the ribbon.
Later, when Tatsiana put the ribbon on again, Hrychanka and another policeman,
Dzmitry Kurylchuk, again clang to her. Only their boss, police colonel Ihar
Yauseyeu, managed to calm them down. Tatsianan Seviarynets has filed a claim
with the Minsk City Procuracy Concerning such actions of the police.
By the way, Yauseyeu, Hryshchanka and Kurylchuk are notorious for their wild
enthusiasm during the dispersal of opposition actions. They get mad at seeing a
white-red-white flag. Christians from the organizing committee of the
Belarusian Christian Democracy call everybody to pray for these people to make
the evil spirit leave their souls.
