No holidays for Orhsa teachers
At the beginning of May, when many workers of the
budget sphere were freed from work because of the 1 May holidays, officers of
the Presidential Administration and the education department of the Vitsebsk
Regionl Executive Committee checked up the secondary schools in the town of Orsha. The official
reason for the check up was the 11 April terrorist act in the Minsk metro.
All teachers had to come to work to have talks with the commission, especially
those who taught physics and chemistry. According to the teachers, members of
the commission behaved as if the pupils were taught only how to make explosives
and estimate the force and direction of the explosive waves.
In one of the schools members of the commission found a safe which nobody could
open, because the keys had been lost long time ago. As a result, some workers
had to saw off the hinges. However, after the safe was opened, the commission
found there only correspondence dated 1960-1970-ies.
