Pinsk resident Andrei Asavets has been fined BYR 700 for resisting compulsory fingerprinting, after he demanded to provide official grounds for the examination, the Vecherniy Brest newspaper reports. As a result, Mr. Asavets wrote a statement to the police and was eventually charged with disobeying police orders.

Four more similar cases are said to be heard by Pinsk courts in the near future.
