Salihorsk residents come to the square despite persecution
The social network Vkontakte again gathered Salihorsk residents on the central square
on 12 June. All in all, 50 people took part in the Revolution through social
networks rally, organized by a user of v.kontakte.ru.
After the end of the action the police tried to detain
some of its participants, but eventually confined themselves to putting down
their passport data. The first rally took place on 8 June. Four people were
detained after its end.
On 11 June morning the community Revolution
through social networks calling Salihorsk residents to come to the square was
deleted from the web-resource after KGB officers phoned to the organizer of the
rally and threatened him with “trouble”. However, the people intend to come to
the square each Wednesday in spite of the state pressurization.
