Brest: detention of civil activist Ivan Stasiuk
"Ivan
called me at 11.30 p.m. and managed to tell that he was in the Maskouski District
Police Department of Brest. His mobile is off at the moment, and the duty
officer of the department says that the youngster was not delivered there," said a member of the United Civil Party, Uladzimir Vuyek.
Bear in mind that Ivan Stasiuk's apartment had been searched on 13 June.
Policemen arrived to the apartment in Brest
where the democratic activist lived together with his parents. They showed a
search warrant - the search was initiated within the framework of the case of
House of Justice arson in Minsk.
Policemen confiscated a computer system unit, a flash-drive, a mechanically
damaged hard disk, and 1.260 copies of leaflets with information that Aliaksandr Lukashenka
hadn’t won the presidential election on 19 December.
