Today, Minsk City Court dismissed the appeals lodged by Young Front leaders Zmitser Dashkevich and Eduard Lobau against earlier verdicts, which sentenced them to 2 and 4 years of imprisonment, respectively.
During the hearing, the defense lawyers argued that the convicts’ guilt was not proven during the trial, claiming that the verdicts were based on assumptions, rather than on evidence.
Zmitser Dashkevich and Eduard Lobau were convicted of alleged beating two persons on 18 December 2010.
