Human rights defender Uladzimir Tseliapun was detained together with some 20 persons during a protest in the central square of the town of Mazyr, Homel region.
The detainees were taken to local police department and told they had been arrested after police reportedly received a terrorist warning.
The detainees were eventually released without charges.
