Hrodna Leninski District Court continues hearing the criminal case of “Gazeta Wyborcza” journalist Andrei Pachobut. The verdict is expected to be pronounced on 5 July.
Defense lawyer Uladzimir Kisialevich says he is going to prove Pochobut’s innocence, requesting an acquittal. According to the lawyer, the forensic text analysis should not have been conducted by governmental experts, as they are interested persons.
On 24 June, the state prosecutor requested a 3-year sentence for Andrei Pachobut, facing charges of libel and insult of President Lukashenka.
