On 13 July the third court hearing on the case of Dzmitry Kaptsiuh took place in the Vileika District Court. Judge A.Artsimovich sentenced him to 7 days of arrest for participation in the silent protest action on 6 July.

The judge ignored the testimonies of his witnesses and arguments of the defense and based her sentence on the police reports.

It's worth noting that on 12 July, during the previous hearing, Mr. Kaptsiuh solicited for requesting the video from the video cameras installed on the building of the Vileika District Police Department. The activist wanted to prove that he was already near the building of the Vileika DPD at 7.08 p.m. on 6 July and couldn't stand near the Mir cinema at 7.15 p.m., using obscene language, as it was stated in the police report.

However, the police stated that the cameras had been damaged during the repair works at the DPD and therefore no video was recorded by them.
