Letters of presidential candidate Mikalai Statkevich from a penal colony in Shklou do not reach Minsk.
BelaPAN learnt this from his common-law wife Maryna Adamovich.
She says she has received only three letters from Mikalai Statkevich for the last month. The latest letter was received on 30 June, two weeks ago. Statkevich phoned on 7 July to tell the phone call schedule for July, but he did not phone on 11 July.
Maryna Adamovich knows
nothing about Statkevich. She cannot reach the colony chief, while the colony
administration refused to tell any information about the prisoner.
Mikalai Statkeivich will not be present in the Minsk City Court on 19 July at the
consideration of the cassation appeal against the verdict to him.
