Hlybokaye: journalist is “advised” not to come to central square on Wednesday evenings
Dzmitry Lupach, editor of the Hlybokaye advertisement
newspaper Prefect-info, was summonsed to the police. The writ was passed
to him at the central square of the town on 13 July, during a silent protest
action.
According to Mr. Lupach, he saw some youngsters on the square, but a man in
mufti came up exactly to him. “I was going to a shop yesterday, and came to the
square to see whether there were any participants of the Revolution through
social networks and police... There were no policemen in the uniform, but I
was approached by a man in mufti who showed a policeman's ID and told he wanted
to speak with me.”
The talk took place in a police car which was parked nearby. Mr. Lupach was
given a writ for 14 July. He went there. At the police department he was asked
about the Revolution through social networks and was advised not to come
to the square anymore on Wednesday evenings.
By the way, the previous Wednesday, on 6 July, Mr. Lupach had been detained
together with participants of the silent protest action in the central square
of Hlybokaye, but was released without getting any charges.
