The persons detained during yesterday’s “silent protest” in Minsk have stood trials in the city’s courts this afternoon. All of them face charges for disorderly conduct.
Three protesters – Yury Rybianets, Yauhen Tarasevich and Danila Tsepliakou-Shuhalei – have been sentenced to administrative arrest between 5 and 15 days by Minsk Leninski District Court. Two more detainees have been fined.
13 protesters have been tried by Minsk Tsentralny District Court. 11 of them have been sentenced to administrative arrests, including Mrs. Alena Likhavid, mother of political prisoner Mikita Likhavid.
