Employee of Minsk Automobile Plant Anatol Sytsko, sentenced to 8 days of arrest for alleged participation in a “silent protest” on 6 July, has been forced to quit his job, “Nasha Niva” newspaper reports.
According to Anatol Sytsko, he was detained outside Minsk “Belarus” department store as he was returning home and later sentenced to an administrative arrest for alleged participation in an unauthorized rally. The next day after his release, Mr. Sytsko’s manager insisted on the employee’s resignation. Otherwise, he was threatened to be fired with cause and have troubles during his future employment.
