France reiterated its demand to release all Belarusian prisoners of conscience, including three former presidential candidates, www.naviny.by reports, quoting an official statement by the French Embassy to Minsk released on 16 August.
“This is a prerequisite for a constructive dialogue”, says the statement.
France “notes the pardon of 9 political prisoners by the Belarusian President on 11 August; a move we have called for, which is a step forward”, stresses the statement.
