On 22 August, Minsk Maskouski District Court acquitted Yury Yakubouski, sentenced to a fine following a “silent protest” staged on 3 July, Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty reports.
Mr. Yakubouski was charged with disorderly conduct after he came to Minsk Maskouski police department to see his detained wife.
The acquittal was pronounced after the majority of the police witnesses failed to testify Mr. Yakubouski’s guilt.
