Hlybokaye: authorities ban picket in support of political prisoner Mikita Likhavid

Yaraslau Bernikovich, a civil activist from the town of Hlybokaye, applied for authorization of the action in the first half of July. He intends to hold the picket on 3 September near the House of Culture.

However, the authorities refused to authorize the action. In their answer they explained that the territory will be repaired at the time of the action. By the way, officers of the Hlybokaye District Executive Committee answered Bernikovich's application on 29 August, the last day when they could do it according to the legislation. Most probably, it was done to prevent him from changing the time of the action by filing another application.

By the way, no workers or special equipment was seen near the House of Culture on 30 August. Mr. Bernikovich intends to visit the place at the time of the action to see whether the officials told truth in their answer.
