Vaukavysk-based civil activist Vital Huliak received a
writ to the Vaukavysk District Court. He will be tried on Friday for “picketing
with the aim to call to the People's Assembly appointed on 8 October 2011”.
According to the police report, the activist is guilty of handing out leaflets.
Mr. Huliak was detained on 19 August. At first the police just took
explanations from the detainee and then let him go. Later they drew up a violation
report under Article 23.34, part 3.
Together with the writ Viktar Huliak received an answer from the Financial
Investigations Department to his personal guarantee for Ales Bialiatski,
according to which the FID refuses to release Mr. Bialiatski under a written
non-leave undertaking.
