The leader of the United Civil Party and former political prisoner Anatol
Liabedzka was detained in the Moscow airport Domodedovo on his way to
Washington. He managed to inform the Russian politician Leonid Gozman about it.
According to unofficial sources, Mr. Liabedzka was
detained on suspicion of using a fake passport to leave Moscow. BelaPAN refers to the
Belarusian police and informs that the Russian police have a data base of such
Belarusian passports (lost or stolen). It is the only Belarusian data base used
by Russians.
In some time Anatol Liabedzka was allowed to fly to the US.
