Aleh Korban, leader of the United Civil Party’s youth wing, has been detained at the Lithuanian border this morning, Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty reports.
According to the border troops, the politician is on a travel ban list, as a result of his prosecution over the 19 December 2010 protest criminal case.
“I was told at the KGB that the case had been suspended, so I was going to Vilnius to take part in a seminar on the strategy of Belarusian youth organizations. The border troops must be unaware of the decision yet”, says Mr. Korban.
