Brest regional court has reversed the non-guilty verdict pronounced by the court of Maskouski district in the administrative case of local coordinator of the Belarusian Christian Democracy Zmitser Shurkhai, Radio Racyja reports.
The judge ruled to reexamine the case, after the verdict was appealed by chair of the district’s interior affairs department due to “lessening of testimonies by policemen”.
The case has been sent for review for juggling with facts, says BCD activist Fiodar Pratasevich.
Zmitser Shurkhai was detained ahead of a “silent protest” on 28 June and charged with disorderly conduct. However, on 2 September he was acquitted.
