Vatslau Areshka and Valery Ukhnaliou attacked by people in mufti
Opposition politicians Siarhei Kaliakin, Anatol
Liabedzka, Valery Ukhnaliou and Vatslau Areshka are going to hold a press
conference titled “About the wave of gangster-like attacks” in Minsk on 3
October.
A car with Ukhnaliou, Areshka and his daughter was attacked on the road Vilnius-Minsk in the Valozhyn district at night of 30 September. The car was stopped by a man in road police uniform. After Ukhnaliou got out of the car a group of unknown masked men appeared and robbed the passengers. Personal belongings, money and documents were stolen. The men acted brutally, the organizers of the press conference note.
On 1 October, leader of the United Civil Party Anatol Liabedzka was attacked by unknown men in mufti on his yard after his return from Warsaw.
