Homel: persecution of organizers of People's Assembly continues

continue persecuting organizers of the assembly which took place on 8 October.
On 10 October two of them, Uladzimir Katsora and Uladzimir Niapomniashchykh,
were fined for alleged violation for the alleged violation of the rules of
organizing and holding mass events (Article 23.34 of the Code of Administrative
Offenses) They were kept in prison for several days before the trial. Mr.
Katsora kept a dry hunger-strike there.
During the People's Assembly the police also tried to detain another organizer,
Valery Sliapukhin. However, they didn't manage to do it as about 100 people saw
him to the door.
That's why Mr. Sliapukhin was detained at 4.20 p.m. on 10 October. He was
guarded to the Chyhunachny District Police Department, where he was charged
with the organization of the “unauthorized event”. The trial will take place on
11 October at the Chyhunachny District Court of Homel.
