The Human Rights Center “Viasna”
The Human Rights Center “Viasna” has been awarded the 2011 Politiken Freedom Prize, an international human rights award sponsored by the Denmark-based Politiken radical-social, liberal newspaper.
Founded in 2007, the Freedom Prize is warded for taking “an outstanding responsibility in the fight for freedom and fundamental human rights.”
The awarding ceremony will be held in Copenhagen on 14 November.
