The deputy head of the United Civil Party, Leu Marholin, was detained on the Belarusian-Lithuanian border.
The politician was heading from Minsk to Vilnius to hold a number of business meetings. Leu Marholin was driving his own car. He was seized his passport on Kamenny Loh checkpoint and told he would be searched. Border guards also said they needed to search his car.
Leu Marholin is waiting for the search to be carried out.
“There’s nothing awful in the situation. What is unpleasant is that they are wasting my time,” the politician told udf.by.
