Chair of the United Civil Party of Belarus Anatol Liabedzka is going to sue the KGB for failure to return his passport seized during a search on 19 December 2010, Radio Racyja reports.
The politician’s has not been able to regain his passport even after the suspension of criminal charges brought against him following the 19 December 2010 post-election protest. Moreover, KGB investigators have repeatedly ignored Mr. Liabedzka’s written requests to return the passport.
“Considering the KGB’s defiance of my appeals, I have made up my mind to address what they call the judiciary”, says Anatol Liabedzka.
