Chairman of Baranavichy branch of “For Freedom” is invited to police
On 4 November police
officer Dzmitry Mizger phoned to Viktar Syrytsa, Chairman of the Baranavichy
branch of the movement “For Freedom” to invite him for a talk to the
Baranavichy District Police Department. Being asked about the reasons, the
policeman answered that the activist could guess it himself.
Mr. Syrytsa thinks the “invitation” can be connected to the People’s Assembly
which would be held on 12 November in Baranavichy. He thinks the police want to
prevent him from participation in the action. During the previous assembly,
held on 8 October, he implemented the functions of the secretary. He and a
deputy of the Baranavichy City Council, Aliaksandr Halkevich, passed the text
of the adopted resolution to Viktar Dzichkouski, Chairman of the Baranavichy
City Executive Committee.
