Participant of 19 December protest rally discriminated at work
Stanislau Khaladovich, a machinist
of pumping units of the central water
supply point of Ivatsevichy, was transferred
to the position of a fitter due to the staff reduction.
He considers it unfair, and also says that some of the
fired workers were graduates of polytechnics, whereas those who were left at
work finished vocational schools, but were more loyal.
Aliaksandr Khaladovich graduated from the Pinsk Water
Conservation College
and had no admonitions at work. In 2010 he was awarded a
diploma for a fair and immaculate work.
Everything changed after 19 December
2010, when Kholodovich was arrested at the protest rally on Nezalezhnasts Square and punished with 15
days of arrest. He wasn’t fired, but his direct chief was hinted that Khaladovich’s
work at the enterprise was undesirable.
Mr. Khaladovich has filed complaints with the labor committee and the commission on labor disputes.
