Students of Minsk State Linguistic University summonsed to dean’s office after arrest

The activists of the “European Belarus” Mikita Kavalenka and Aliaksandr Saldatsenka were sentenced to 10 and 7 days of arrest for participation in the action of solidarity with political prisoners held on 25 October.

Both of them study at Minsk State Linguistic University. After serving their arrest terms, the guys were summoned to the dean’s office, where they were asked to write explanatory notes. They refused to do it. One of them, Aliaksandr Saldatsenka, was issued with a warning signed by the MSLU rector, Natallila Baranava. MSLU administration refused to present him a copy of the document, saying it was “for internal use only”. Mikita Kavalenka hasn't received any penalty yet.
