The head of the sawing plant “Yunona”, Uladzimir
Ivanou, warned its workers that they were banned from coming to the central square
of Maladechna on Saturday, and they would be fired on Monday if they disobeyed.
Many workers were surprised at such a ban, but nobody explained anything to
them.
Workers of the joint venture “Minsk Furniture Center” weren't threatened
directly, but were “hinted” and were told that the surnames of all those who
went to the square on Saturday would become known to the administration.
